Going from an LG Dare to a Blackberry Storm 2?

I'm thinking of getting a new phone in the next couple of days and I now am currently using the LG Dare. I've been looking and reading about the HTC Incredible and I find that it does not support texting very well but it's internet is amazing... anyways, I decided to go with the Blackberry Storm 2 because my family is a big Blackberry fan and I'm used to them and how they work. But I've read that the Storm has a strange touch screen that isn't anything like the Dare. Would going from my Dare to a Blackberry be an easy transition or should I look for something else.. like the LG Ally or Fathom??
