Going on a Cruise to the Bahamas - Drinking age? HELP?

So we're going on an AMERICAN cruise like to the BAHAMAS in a month, and I was wondering what the legal drinking age would be.
We're Canadian and here it's 18, not that it makes a difference with either of those places haha.

But anyways, I know that on the ship it would be 21 (as it's an american cruise line), and in bahamas it's 18.

I'm sure the obvious answer is no, But if we're docked in the Bahamas, does that mean we can drink on the ship?
We'd be on an American Boat, BUT in the Bahamas.
Any idea how that works?

No.
All the cruise ships I am aware of have a 21 year drinking age. It's a company policy. It does not matter where the ship is.

FYI. Most cruise ships are not "American Ships" They are owned by the cruise company and for legal reasons and tax purposes the ships are registered in foriegn country. None of this has anything to do with the drinking age on board the ship.

All cruise lines are 21 and they have to be 21 prior to sailing they can't turn 21 while on the cruise. HOWEVER if you are married you CAN drink beer and wine only. Myself and my husband took a cruise April 2006 and were allowed to drink because we were married. However this did ME no good because I don't drink beer or wine. Hope this helps happy sailing....

This age limit will be waived for children sailing with their parents or guardians in connecting staterooms; for underage married couples; and for active duty members of the United States or Canadian military.
Certain other restrictions and conditions will apply; such as compliance with the age twenty-one (21) alcohol policy, and proof of marriage for underage couples or proof of active duty military status.required).
