My black (boggle-eyed) gold fish is sick: I have spent ages searching the web for advice, but none of the info I can find fits all his symptoms. I'm hoping someone here can help.
So here are his symptoms and signs:
- lethargy
- curved spine (like a banana!)
- floating at the top of the water
- what looks like a cataract inside his left eye
His breathing is normal (if a little slow, but I figure that's because he's not doing much) and his colour, scales and fins look fine. His gills look normal. He hasn't been overfed. The problem was first noticed this morning (before feeding, it had been at least 24 hrs since their last feed).
We recently moved the fish tank. I changed the water today (80%) and put in a new carbon filter. He is in a hospital tank. The other two fish seem fine.
I've given him some peas but I don't know how he'll get to them!
Any ideas?
