My roommate is a very needy person. She is always craving attention from people and she never stops complaining. I was talking to my friend about how she annoys me, and I think she may have heard me complaining about her, because now she hides in her room when I'm in the living room, and if she is in the living room with me she will completely ignore me. I personally don't care, because now that she's ignoring me it's the most peace I've had since we've moved in, but she's making it awkward for me and the rest of my roommates in the apartment. Should I confront her and apologize? Should I just let her ignore me and I keep ignoring her? How can I deal with this needy person?
She's a nice girl, but all she does is complain. She will complain about aches and pains, but then when you tell her she should take an advil she says shes fine..then continues to moan and groan..literally!! That and she always corrects you, I ******* hate it. She's also one of those people who always tries to one-up you just because...Looking at her face just makes me nauseous, I can't stand her! How do I make things less awkward with her, and how do go about ignoring this stupid person?
FYI it wasn't my idea to live with her. I live with 3 other people (including the needy girl) and I told my other roommates that she was going to be annoying. They told me she wasn't bad and it be fine...ugh...

If I do decide to confront her, how can I go about it without being mean? And how do I control myself from trying to sock her in the face when she talks? You really have no idea how annoying she is..I feel bad because she is a nice person, but fml when she opens her mouth, its like, god i just wanna punch her! Just imagining her face makes me sick! I didn't think it was humanly possible to be annoyed by someone so much!
The terrible thing is that I don't feel guilty about it. Not as much as I think I should be anyways. Its just that she's acting really quiet lately like she's depressed, but I know she's just doing it to get attention! We keep asking her whats wrong, but she says she's fine. I haven't confronted her alone, so maybe if I did she'd be honest, but again I really don't know. **** I hate her!
