I was wondering if it was possible to travel outside by foot/bus/train in the winter time with 2+ piggies together in a carrying case. I live in New England.
This would be my plan:
I would get a few of those foot/hand warmers that when you rub them they warm up, and tape them down to the bottom of the carrying case. I would then cover that with a few layers of blanket/cloth so that the pigs couldn't get to it, and to make sure it doesn't get too warm and burn their toes. I would them cover up any openings in the carries with cloth, and then wrap blankets around the entire carrier multiple times. There would be 2 g-pigs, so I think that also makes a difference. I would also have some "cuddle sacks" or little blankets etc. for them to cuddle up with inside of the carrier (and some snacks for the ride). This wouldn't be a long trip, I would just be going to my friends house after school...30 minutes- 1 hour TOPS. Probably around 45 minutes. I would be on trains and buses for the majority of the trip, I just want to make sure the babies will be okay :)

Would this be going overboard? Do I need to do even more to keep them warm? I'm not old enough to drive and my parents will be at work, so that is not an option. The guinea pigs will have gone on other trips before so you don't need to worry too much about stress. This kind of trip would happen once every week/month or so.
Thanks for you input!
