I am 31yrs old and have all ways wanted to learn how to play but was all way's to caught up in other parts of my life to really put the practice time in that is needed. my life is more stable now and i want to start learning on a acoustic and while i was at my local guitar shop today there were these kids in there that were maybe in their early teens and they were just in there ripping it up! but when i sat down and started plucking and strumming i felt like a total retard!! am i to old to take up playing now? what is a good starter acoustic to purchase under $300? and how long does it usually take a person to get pretty good at playing? i will be at least practicing 1hr a day not counting the time i spend just playing for fun.
