GUYS PLEASE: Do guys get uncomfortable knowing a girl they are not

interested in likes them? Guys only please: This guy that I know acts strange around me. He is genuinely nice, but when together he acts so tense, almost scared and avoids looking at me or having any conversation unrelated to course work. Sometimes he even gets borderline rude. He is pretty social and normal with others. I know he doesn't like me because he never initiates anything and sometimes seems to wanna get away from me (btw I am not all over him we are in the same program), even when I see him in the hall (we are both graduate students). Or he is not really happy to see me. Why does he act like this? I like him but am fine just being friends! Yet he doesn't seem to even be open to that option.

Guys please decode what he is thinking.

even though you said you were fine being friends, he probably still knows you like him, and want something from him that he cant give you. that would make anyone feel awkward.

Yes it can be a little awkward. He might not like you but because he knows that you do, it becomes VERY hard to act normal around you. This is even more apparent when the guy does like you, then he'll almost turn into a different person because he is acting so different. this is simply human nature!
