I had a surgery on my toe the other day and the local anaesthetic wasn't working so they wheeled in a tank of laughing gas. He had me put an apparatus in my mouth and breathe the gas until the surgery was over.
I started off just being dizzy but I started seeing and hearing some crazy things. The room seemed to stretch out and my feet got really far away. My voice became very very low and the doors and windows disappeared. Everything turned black and white. I was somewhat conscious of the surgery but mostly just gone. I was dizzy for about 10 minutes after.
I'm wondering if that degree of hallucination is normal.
