Has anyone else noticed that the next election comes just over a month before

the 2012 prophecy? Our next presidential election is Nov. 6, 2012 and the notorious Doomsday prophecy predicts that the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012. How do you think this will effect the next presidential election?
The operative word being notorious. The actual question is how do you think this notorious prophecy will effect the next election? Will people believe that the world will end a month after the election and how will it effect their votes? Now are we clear? Thank you Steve R. I respect your father's beliefs.

No. I think with what the Democrats have tried to do in the past 9 months that any Republicans that run will win. The Presidential election will already be decided on December 21, 2012. A Republican will win in a landslide regardless of this prediction.

Good god, there is no 'prophecy'. This is based on the supposed 'Mayan calendar' ending. It doesn't end. It's cyclical and has 5 more cycles before it ends. That's many many decades from now.
