Why do they have to move the fire? How do the littluns react to this? why?

Do the boys support jack? Do they like jack? Do they fear jack?

the boys are very afraid of jack towards the end jack turns most of the boys into savages with his hunters. they have to move the fire because the tribe splits in two and the peak is neutral territory, they move it to the platform. the littluns loose hope of returning home.

They move the fire so it's the most visible from air. Waiting to be rescued can make young men impatient. The littluns react with fear. They're terrified of the "monster", which turns out to be the corpse of a parachutist that had fell from a plane, unnoticed by the boys.
The boys do support Jack, in a way. They voted Ralph as leader, but Jack manages to bully his way in after a plane flies overhead, and goes on, leaving the boys, unnoticed on the island. Ralph is infuriated, and flies at Jack because the fire has gone out. It's always to be burning, just in case a plane did go overhead. Jack is angry with Ralph and turns table on him, and the boys end up in a frenzied dance. It's difficult to like Jack,he is more likable at the beginning of the story, before he decides he really likes it on the island without grownups. They do fear Jack. Jack is powerful,a nd fear keeps him in power.
