...shield screen protector? I took my phone to Best Buy and bought an Invisible Shield and had them install it. They sprayed the solution on my phone (which I recently found out the box clearly says NOT to do), and it was fine, and then the next day almost 24 hours later, my home button quit working! I waited a little over 12 hours to put my case back on, and the screen felt sticky so i rubbed it and noticed as I did, waxy stuff started flaking off and there was a white residue around the outline of my case (which was completely clean before I put it back on the phone), and in the dock connector, and along the chrome part around the screen. And when I looked in the dock connector and saw the white residue stuff there too, along the connector itself it was starting to turn a greenish color. I took it back to Best Buy and showed them the screen with the white residue along the edge, and in the dock connector, and told them about the home button (but at this point it started working again), but now it's kinda tricky to get it to charge (because of the corrosion of the dock connector--I'm assuming.), and randomly, the screen will say "Charging is not supported with this accessory" when nothing is plugged into it. I showed best buy all of this and they basically said I'm out of luck. They said they've never had anything like that happen before, and since the dock connector is beginning to corrode, it implies that its something that happened way before the invisible shield install, that it would have taken longer than 24-48 hours. It's been in the 100s every day here, so I'm wondering if heat could speed up the process of corrosion? Has ANYONE ever dealt with anything like this regarding the Invisible Shield installation? I can't seem to find anything on here about it, but Best Buy said if I could find previous instances when this happened, they would maybe cover it, but otherwise--I'm SOL. Am I all alone or has this happened to anyone before?
