The accelerator sticking has been reported in the Lexus IS and other models, but I've never heard of it occurring in the LS model. I need to know, so I can decide to get rid of my LS430 if necessary. It has caused several fatal accidents.
The acceleration problem is only occuring in the IS and ES models years 2006 to 2010. There hasn't been any issues with any of the other Lexus models. As of now, there is absolutley no reason to get rid of your LS430 because of that problem.
In case the accelerator does get stuck, immediatly shift the car into neutral and pull off the road.
Also make sure that your floor mats are properly fitted with the floor mat clamps located right in front of the driver's seat. If you don't have any, take the floor mat out and contact your local dealer.
