Has your child cried when being picked up from daycare?

I picked up my son from daycare yesterday. He was happy and smiling until the daycare worker handed him off to me. He just started wailing. I feel so bad. Does this happen to anyone else? My son just turned 10 months old.

My house is so quiet and boring and he is surrounded by things that he cannot touch- it is no wonder he wants to stay there sometimes (he is 13 months, but this did not just begin!) Just wait until the opposite is true and he does not want to leave your side. A little boy at the day care is 2.5 years old and he wails and screams when his mama leaves him.

Your son loves you, and you are 100% not being replaced. You should be happy that he likes the place- that is a good indication that they are making him feel loved and protected. =)

it hurts :(( i know but it is a phase... just be happy that your son is very happy and well taken care of be the daycare for him to even do that.. my son just turned 1 and was switched into a new room with a new teacher. he now loves the kids and playing on the playground more then seeing mommy! it used to be that he was attached to the infant room teacher.. but no matter what they still love mommy..even though for a few minutes it doesn't seem like it..
