have you ever been insulted for being vegan or vegetarian?

i have been,mostly from doctors that are vegetarians for other reasons,like health.a doctor toId me that it is wrong to say that you are vegan for ethical reasons,i dont understand why.Some people dont respect other opinions.i am vegan for ethical and environmental reasons and some people make fun of it.i believe that ethical reasons are very important.what do you think?
