How did the health of American Christianity decline to such a point that even a few Christians actually watched this guy on Television?

I bought a couple DVD's from the Trinity Foundation, who used to do "God Stuff" for the Daily Show before it got popular, and was delighted to discover this evil, evil man known as Jonathan Bell.
Steph: You're right, He was accused I think about 11 different times of sexually abusing children, and once of abusing an elderly woman and her retarded son.
 
While he's highly entertaining for the atheist who wishes everyday for the horrible painful deaths of fundamentalist christians around the world, he's sick! He used to be a hairdresser and then got caught touching little kids. I think he got slammed with three counts of child molestation.

That's just sick.
