I've noticed that My favorite songs by a lot of softer rock artists (David Bowie, The Kinks, etc) is invariably the hardest song in their entire repertoire (Cat People, Destroyer, etc) I think this speaks volumes about my musical tastes.

What's an interesting musical fact about Yourself, and what do You think it says about You?
I sing like a drunken crow dying in the gutter myself
Whoa Deathcube. I noticed that as well!

I have noticed that although I look like a peaceful young hippy I listen to the darkest and most violent music out there.

I noticed that while I'm a metal head most of the time, I don't mind getting a Lady Gaga or Kesha high every now and then.

Well instead of a 12 year old listening to Lady Gaga, Kesha, and other pop/rock songs that are meaningless
I listen to Queen, Aerosmith, The Sticks, and Led Zeppelin and I dont listen to it because it has a good beat I look up every meaning of the song and I look up the lyrics
answer mine?

I loveeeee Acoustic, Rock songs. And i like to listen to them when I'm sad, bored, or just feeling down :) hah.. I listen to heavy rock when I'm angry at something or someone..

My favorite parts of a lot of my favorite songs are usually the breakdown parts, when the beat changes drastically. Stuff like the jam in 'Echoes' by Pink Floyd, the acoustic outro of 'Symptom of the Universe' by Black Sabbath, a lot of Renaissance's stuff, 'The Soft Parade' by the Doors does it a lot. It means I like getting into the groove.

I realized I have a song from every genre IMO.
I think it means I'm very open about things.
And I love to sing and I can hold notes for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg time. Longer than Fergie.

This one I realized because one of my best friends said it to me, the music that makes me the happiest is usually the darkest and angriest. Don't get me wrong, I love happy music too (Ska is one of my favorite genres) but there's just something about a really dark riff or a vocalist doing low harsh vocals that make's me feel good.

The reason I say my one of my really good friends helped me realize that is because he doesn't like metal so he says to me "Oh, you're listening to that band because angry music makes you happy!" haha

I can not, and will not listen to a band if the vocals aren't clean. That is the major reason I hate metal music. I have to be able to understand them, and they have to have a good voice. Anything even remotely off about it drives me insane, and I won't listen to it.
