Have you ever traveled for work or just for your own pleasure?

What was it like? Did the co. you worked for pay for your transportation to the airport? What details can you give me about traveling for work. Were you meals paid for or did you just take them off your taxes? What did you do when you reached your destination? Were you in meetings or at a seminar. I am looking for details as to what people do when they travel for business or if not for business the details of other travel.

Did you like staying at a hotel? Did you enjoy a continental breakfast or go out to eat? Did you eat at the meeting? Any details you can give will help. Thank you.

Was there anything you learned about traveling?

mostly for my own pleasure but there was a time when the family traveled to Canada in order to have an operation which was not allowed here in the U.S. at the time. saved my life and allowed me to have a normal life to a certain extent.

I have traveled for my job, and the company paid for all transportation, meals, entertainment and hotels, as well as car rentals.

The problem with business travel is that you always travel in prime traveling times when the airports are packed, and there are delays. If you travel for pleasure, you can travel when airport congestion is lighter.

After I retire in a few years, I plan to do the majority of my travel by Amtrak.
