...about Anti-semitism? "my father was called a sheeny."
Here's my response. Proof?
Here's the actual quote: He[my father] went on having a difficult time un school, and endured being called a sheeny, along with others who were called wops, micks, and chinks.
This book won a Pulitzer, now I know why.
This was a story she told about life of her father as a child, ie her vivid recollections of her father before she was born. also ie, 50 years before the Holocaust.
