Ok I have two questions here!!! First I have a receiver that is not HD capable but, my dvd player is and xbox 360. So what I did is take a HD cable from the back of my tv to the dvd player and another cable to the back of tv to the xbox 360 and ran a fiber optic cable from the tv to the receiver! Don't have cable or satalite. My question is will the quility of the picture improve if I buy a HD capable receiver and run it that way? I would not need the fiber optic cable correct?! I would just have to run HD cable to moniter out on receiver to the HD on tv and HD cable from receiver to the xbox 360 and dvd player.
Next is how much better is the blue ray then a normal dvd and does it make a blue ray player improve the picture on a normal dvd when played thru a blue ray device?
