He said he was joking when he asked me out... Do you think he was?

Well a couple of months ago this boy asked me out, well he got his friend called Kirsty to do it actually but yeahh.... I was in shock and said no. Then Kirsty told me that he's really into me and Im all he talks about on the bus (to and from school) and he dropped some money and Kirsty picked it up and gave it to him saying 'Do you want this?' and he said 'Yeah I might buy something for Zanna (me) for valentines day with it.' I think thats really sweet

So anyway for ages I regretted saying no and fancied him (well I still do). Then today me and my mates were talking about boys and 2 of my mates told me that they asked Conor (the boy who asked me out) if he was serious and apparently he said no, kirsty did it for a joke. I dont this it was a joke though cos' he's not the type of guy to do that, and he kept commenting on my pictures on facebook and sending me messages saying 'Why wont you go out with me?' and all that. Do you think he could have done it to save embarressment? I did that before when I asked someone out a couple of years ago and he said no so I told him I was messing around.

Im confused because my friends told me he was serious about it (cos they asked him and he blushed) before I answered him, and now theyre saying he was joking!!!

Do you think he was? Sorry if it was a little long, but Id really appreciate your opinions

Also he has a girlfriend, but he only said yes cos he was scared of her :L.

Yes, it sounds like he wants to go out with you, but doesn't want to be embarrassed by being turned down. I would tell you to ask him out if you're interested, but he has a girlfriend...
