LeBron James is halfway to his first championship ring. In a game that featured a ton of missed perimeter shots, the Miami Heat defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder by a final score of 91-85. LeBron led the way with 29 points and 14 rebounds for the Heat, who now lead the series 2-1.

Kevin Durant had a solid game for the Thunder. In 39 minutes, he had 25 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots. He hit 11-of-19 shots from the field. However, the rest of the team shot just 22-for-58 from the floor.

Durant had to sit key minutes in the third quarter due to foul trouble.

Said Durant: “It was frustrating. Of course we had a good lead and they came back and made some shots. We fouled shooters on the 3-point line twice. It’s a tough break for us, man. You know, I hate sitting on the bench, especially with fouls.”

Although the Heat didn’t play pretty basketball, they will definitely take this hard-fought victory — especially after losing in the Finals last season.

“We carry that pain with us. We think about it every day and that really helps us to succeed in this series,” said Chris Bosh.
