i bought my car about a year ago from a used dealership, and we had asked about a carfax, and was told no accidents.. but yesterday while i was in walmart the front of my car was rear ended.. while i was taking a look at my front bumper.. (the only damage was a few dents, and small tiny cracks nothing and a side of the bumper came unattached but nothing major) as i lifted up the bumper i noticed this...

i called the dealership and they told me that while the carfax showed nothing that whose to say the person who owned the car before didnt fix it without making a claim.. i just want to know.. does that affect the safety of my vehicle.. should it have passed a safety? i dont know what to do!... its obviously not been done by the little fender bender that happened at walmart!
