help connecting hometheater with tv/dvd-vcr player/dish?

Ok just bought brand new home theater for my hdtv.

I have 1) dish networks DP 311 receiver
2)slv d350p-sony dvd player
3)Panasonice viera 55' HDTV
4) Sony home theater
* I have two sets of rca plugs, 1 s video, 1 hdmi

I can connect dish receiver to tv and home theater BUT CANT CONNECT TV TO HOME THEATER AND DVD PLAYER....

is it cause my dvd player is too old? HELP PLEASE!!!!
