Help - Dell 24" WFP 2008 model overheating at the top?

Hello, I have a 24" Dell LCD monitor, made in 2008, a WFP one. I have noticed today that the top of the monitor especially at the back is getting hot. The top middle is noticeably hotter.
Would servicing help? Or is there some troubleshooting tips that someone could help me with?
