HELP! i accidently updated an iphone 3G to iphone 4G (4 OS) and now it's all messed

UP!? first of all im not in the US area, so the sim card is not recognizable, and i have a password, and when i connect the iphone 3G to my itunes, it says " THe SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible sim cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement sim card." i don't have that long time. what can i do? can i use some xcoder or something to unlock this request? PLEASE I NEED HELP!
