Help! I have a hernia lol ?

I have a hernia in my abdominal/groin areas.(right beside my hip) I am a football player and I lift weights. Is it safe to do curls or anything with this. I'll have surgery soon to get it fixed but I don't want to spend weeks without working out. Thanks!
 
No. Not suitable. The type of exercise that you can do while waiting for your surgery are those without strain and low impact. Such as aerobic-type exercise carried out at a steady rate for long periods, say 30 minutes at a time, and which does not involve straining. You can also swim where the pressure of the water surrounding you helps to control any hernia, and static cycling.

No curls and weight.
