After some nasty malware and Trojans due to uncareful torrenting, I need to reinstall the OS. Here's where I'm at.
Running Windows 7 on a Dell Vostro 1510 that had Windows XP on it from factory (ie restore to factory settings will not work)
I purchased a student edition with digital delivery and no longer have the file, but still have the CD Key
Recovery/Restore will not work properly
I need to do a clean install of windows without buying a new disk. I know acre has the alt+f10 option, but since my factory settings are XP I'm uncertain of Dell has a similar partition, and even if so will this recover XP or 7?
