Help me choose between AMD x2 and x4?

OK so I already went to the store and they are selling pre-assembled PC's. My problem is that I cannot choose between AMD XII or XIV both with same specs; motherboard, memory, hard-disk etc. only the processors are different help me understand the difference between these two and pls include pro's and con's ..
