1. You have three boxes: a red box, a blue box, and a green box. Inside each box is a single ball of the same colour as the box. Someone takes each ball out and puts it in a different box. You open the red box and discover a green ball. What colour ball is in the blue box?

2. Read the following three statements and determine which are true and which are false:

3. During the Great Depression, two women each had 30 apples to sell. One sold her at 2 for a nickel; the other, at 3 for a nickel. "Well, I know he has some money in his wallet," said Paulette. If just one of these statements is true, then how much money does Mr.Steuben have in his wallet?

8.Mrytle has two white balls, two black balls and two boxes. She may place the balls in the boxes in any way that she pleases. Her husband, Max, will then pick a box without looking into it and with his eyes closed, pick out a ball. If he draws a white ball, the couple wins $500. How should Myrtle arrange the balls to maximize the probability of wining?
