trimmed,read please i need help!!? I adopted my 10 month old male neuterd cat last month from the shelter. His owner gave him up because he was too boistrous. I think this is because usually, when you go to pet him or something, he attacks your hand! I am litteraly coverd in cuts and scratches from him and its really painful because i also have ezcema (cant spell it) 
he really needs his claws trimmed, and i am 13 so i cant do it alone. I asked my dad to help, but he wont rist it, because...well i dont really know, he just told me to first get the cat used to having its paws touched. The vets used to clip my old cats claws, because she wouldnt tolerate having her paws touched (she was abused and we adopted her at 7 years but she died in january). This cat, i think he has really bad experiences with the vets, because we took him in for vaccinations, and litterally he went ballistic. He tried to kill the vet! They had to restrain him in a towel and it took 3 vets to get the job done. We tried to clip his nails, by wrapping him in a towel, but it really doesnt work he just squirms and bites and struggles. They are getting really long, and super sharp and i dont know what to do!! He is an indoor cat, and i have asked my dad for those nail caps, but he said no coz we wont be able to get them on the cat. Please help.
Extra question. He scratches and bites ALL the time. I try to teach him not to with a squirt bottle and can of pennies, but it doesnt work. My dad is old fashiond and told me to like slap the cat on the paw or the forehead if he bites, but there is no way on earth i am going to do that to the poor little guy! He was obviously mis treated in the past... He only likes to be petted in the early morning... is this normal??
