HELP!!! so somehow i downloaded divX , how do i get rid of it?

OK so like I said I went on to this one website it downloaded divX and I cant get rid of it. I went into downloads but it wasent there. And know every time I try to watch a video I made on my laptop it plays on divX. I really just want it to play on windows media player. (I have a Toshiba if it matters) and also i have this thing called PC tools mechanic that I cannot get rid of. :( plz help

OMFG i love you i was about to fucking throw my laptop at the wall thanks so much im going to pick you as best answer as soon as i find out how to <3

OMG I remember when that happened to me, it was such a b!tch to get rid of.

Click start- control panel- pograms: uninstall a program- Find DivX, uninstall, and poof! Gone.

Sometimes DivX will be an asshole and have trouble uninstalling, so add detail if it is and I'll try to help!
