Help Suzuki 2004 Sv650 won't start?

I drove my bike last night parked it and today it won't start. When I turn the key none of the sounds happen (like the fuel pump and all those sounds) my dash comes on and lights but when I press the button to start nothing at all. What could it be? I have put 6k miles on it but i'm a beginner for trying to fix it all I have done is the oil change so if you could give good detail while answering that would be awesome thanks.
 
check the tyre pressure and the oil. While you are doing that contemplate what makes those sounds when you try and start your bike. Is it animal, mineral or electrical.
