Help Transporting motorcycle in truck?

Should I ride the bike into the truck or walk it up the ramp? What are the ideal places to tie it down ie. Handlebars, etc? Should I have the bike in gear while the truck is in motion?
 
I ride them up. If you aren't comfortable with that have a friend help you push it. You won't be able to hold the b ike and step up. To tie it down i use ratchet straps from both sides of the front fork. pull it down to compress the shocks about halfway and yes leave it in gear. Happy riding
