help with an analog clock?

i've used a digital alarm clock for awhile, but ive switched to an analog clock. does it know the difference between am and pm? for example, does it know when its 6 in the morning versus 6 at night? i'm setting the alarm on it (it has 3 dials, one for the hour, one for the minute, and a small one for the alarm) but i dont know if its set for the night of for the morning.
 
No, it doesn't know the difference between AM and PM, what ever alarm you've set it to, will go off when it's that time in the AM and again when it's that time in the PM.
