I don't remember much but I think you'll be able to tell with the information I give you. It's an old celtic themed movie and centered around magic. Not too old but definitely not new. I'd say around 1999 or so.
All I remember is that this young warrior was in like a competition with others and the winner was awarded a woman so sleep with but he didn't know (because both were masked) that they were brother and sister. I think this woman was some sort of witch in training or something. Later she finds out and ashamed, she seeks help from an older woman who advises her to drink a poison that will kill the child. That's all I saw.
Also I also remember a scene where the girl like parts a mist with her hands.
