help with breaking in a pony.?

so this is going to be kinda hard to explain but oh well.

we have this pony who is unbroken but we have been handling her for the last few weeks. she is owned by a man who is nice but dosn't have much time for her and hardly ever comes to see her. he has moved her too our yard to get schooled.
our yard owner won't let me and my best friend break her in as we have never done it from scratch before however i have helped with breaking in afew and have re schooled a couple.
she wanted to get her done proffesinaly but the ponies owner won't get her done. our yard owner now says she is going to send her back but we don't want to as she is lovley and shows real potentiol.
we think we are just going to start breaking her in ourselves. we have loads of friends and other people who know what their doing to help us.
the pony is so laid back. she is walking round with numnahs and sursingles on and walks over poles ect. nothing bothers her.

soo please help us and tell us where to start ect.

and don't say "get a proffesinal because a) i have explained why we can't and b) thats not what i asked.
