I'm attempting to write a fictional novel, and my main character is to be summoned to court by the queen. I'm having a very hard time writing the "royal summons". The idea is a messanger comes and reads the royal summons for her to attend court. Does anyone have an idea on how this would be spoken or written?

*This is a fantasy novel, so the main character is going to become a maid/servant of the queen's court.*
My character is starting off as a young girl. So, she's supposed to get very excited and eager to attend court, but her mother is unhappy because there are rumors about the queen. I want it to be a proper, eloquent summons.

What do you want the tone of this summons to be? That will have a big impact on how you write it.
If you want it to be inviting and make your main character excited for this trip to court then it needs to be more or a royal request. "Your presence is requested at Queen so-and-so's Court in this that twelfth day of the seventh month of the year...." Use fancy sounding words: Cordially is a really good one.
If you want your character to be worried, use more demanding words and keep a formal tone. "You are required to be at the Queens Court..."
If you don't want your character to know why then leave it at the request or demand for her to be there. If you do want her to know then you'll want to put in a simple mention of why. "The Queen formally requests you to attend her court on the tenth day of May to discuss your future contributions to the empire" or something.
