I'm attempting to write a fictional novel, and my main character is to be summoned to court by the queen. I'm having a very hard time writing the "royal summons". The idea is a messanger comes and reads the royal summons for her to attend court. Does anyone have an idea on how this would be spoken or written?
*This is a fantasy novel, so the main character is going to become a maid/servant of the queen's court.*
My character is starting off as a young girl. So, she's supposed to get very excited and eager to attend court, but her mother is unhappy because there are rumors about the queen. I want it to be a proper, eloquent summons.
