So whenever I go to view a PDF file from any website, which is necessary because college profs use them all the time, well my mac screws them up. heres an example link from his website http://math.ucsd.edu/~pfitz/downloads/courses/winter09/math20c/hw8ans.pdf but my computer freaks out and messes up the radical symbols and fractions and doesn't even include the <> around a, b, c in solution to number 26 or the integration symbol in 44. anyone know how to fix this? My friends mac doesn't do this, so it must be in the settings or something right? hmm. thanks for any help.
oh and I already tried changing the font my computer views the internet in, unless there is some special math font i'm supposed to download or something, then I have absolutely no idea what to do.
shoot. well this sucks.

hmm. i guess i'll have to take it in then. sometimes on other PDF's too, like for my comp programming hw my computer decides to change the 'fi's in the doc to some crazy looking greek symbol. i mean i can figure it out, but its a hassle :(

I'm not into Mac

But - maybe you can convert the file in Open Office - this is open source and free "OpenOffice.org"

Not sure if this will save the day

Regards, Raymond
