What do Koreans eat on special occassions?? Christmas is coming up and my aunt and uncle have a girl from Korea boarding with them who will be coming to my place on christmas eve with other members of my family. We usually have a huge spread of food like a shrimp circle with sauce, bread with spinach dip, nuts, crackers and fine cheeses and salami, home made cookies and butter tarts, oysters wrapped in bacon, you know...white food lol I really want her to feel welcome while she's here and I want to get her some food that I know she will enjoy, but I have NOOOO idea what korean people like. Do they like really sweet treats? Should I get a small oriental platter from m&m meat shop?? Help! Please!
Thank you, but please let me clarify:
I'm looking for some kind of dish that doesn't seem like it's something they would eat every day. Like how we have birthday cake on our birthdays? I'd like something koreans eat only on special occassions.
Thank you for your time, and whoever else decides to answer, thank you as well : )
greatly appreciated!!
