Help with unlocking tmobile dash to use on ATT network?

I just signed up with ATT, had a phone tmobile brand phone, the Dash and the sim cards fit, so I assume they can work with one another. When I turned on my phone It says " Network is locked. Please input unlock key." What is this, where do I get it and can I even do this? please email if you can help and need to ask more questions.
 
I think your phone is locked to particular Network.That's why your phone shows "Network locked", "Input Unlock Key" errors.To solve this problem, you need to get your phone unlocked.You can get unlock code for your T-mobile Dash phone from your Network service provider or any third party online vendors like SuperUnlockCodes.com here you need to specify your country, Network name to which it is locked, IMEI number of your phone. Then they deliver unlock code to you through mail with unlocking instructions. Using this you can unlock your phone from Network lock easily.
