Hephaestus, Ares and Aphrodite? Values and morals?

What behaviors, values and norms does the myth of Hephaestus, Ares and Aphrodite reinforce? What behaviors, values and norms does the myth invalidate?
How exactly is this "wrong?"
I have to write a 2 page paper on this exact question, so I could use some details and references...

That question is wrong on so many levels. :P Let's go.

You're a bit vague, but anyway:

Hephaestus was ugly and lame, but Aphrodite had to marry him anyway because Zeus was pissed off or something. Ares, magnificent but cruel God of war had an affair with her anyway. But, all the Gods watched and were pointing and laughing.

What does that tell us? (According to the story, not my opinion)

* You cannot force someone to like someone.
* Women like wrong men.
* If you commit adultery, people are going to give you a hard time.
