Here is a basketball rule trivia, can you figure it out?

Okay, this question is influenced by a video i just watched where Rasheed Wallace accidently tipped in a miss but for the opponent's basket. Chicago's Brad Miller took a three pointer and missed and Rasheed then put it back in the basketball(stupidly i know).

The ruling is that the closest guy to Rasheed gets credit for the basket so Miller in fact will not get three points and the Bulls only got two points.

BUT here is the question. What if all Chicago Bulls(were for some reason) behind the three point line. Would the accidental tip-in by Wallace now be counted as three?

Food for thought.

I remember off a jumpball at mid court once during Shawn Marion's rookie year he sprinted across the other side of the court and almost scored for the wrong team before he realized what he had done and stopped. In that case, it might appear that the opposing team would score 3 points, since all the "defenders" are still at mid-court wondering what the hell Marion was doing.
