rejected me. Guys, WHY? I asked this one previously but didn't get any satisfying answer.
Heres my story:
One year ago I fell for this guy from my high school. Since then I tried to get him to know. When I finally did it, we both were shy around each other, for a longer time he didn't even tell me "hi" (I didn't too). For a couple of months I realized he looks at me and stares very often. When I was passing him by he glimpsed and looked away. He stared from the distance very often in that "special way", you know. He did it always straight into my eyes.
Here are some other facts:
- On a school theatre play he did something like this: I had to tell something and he should have answered. He did it like in slow-motion, with incredibly smooth voice, looking straight into my eyes.
- One day I sat on the corridor and saw him looking. I smiled, then he looked down on his notebook.
- On the other school theatre play we were backstage. When I was standing alone and he was talikng with his friend, he looked into my eyes. Then after maybe fourth time I kept his stare. We looked at one another for about 5 seconds.
- Another rehearsal: He sat right in front of me then stared at me. I was too shy to do the same. Then I finally did it but quickly looked away. He did something like a little sigh and became sad. His eyes was saing something like: "She will never be mine."
He:
- is a little insecure
- was broken a couple of times by girls
- is still single
- is very clever, has his hobbies, a very nice and interesting guy.
And the oddest part of my tale:
When I was 99% sure he likes me I decided to talk to him.
He said he was surprised and shocked (but with a smile on his face). I said him not to respond so quickly just asked him to write his thoughts via MSN. He said ok and Monday afternoon I received a message:
"Hi. I thought about what you said to me. First of all, I really admire you that you can say directly what you think. It's ok if you'd like to know me better. But I think I know where that might lead. I very appreciate your companionship but now I feel that there can't be anything more between us now. I don't want you to suffer because I'm not sure about our closer relation and I can behave in a strange way which can cause you pain. It's also because of me and unresolved things from the past which are stuck in my head. If I provoked something, I'm sorry. I hope it won't end our relations as colleagues.
"
Can you tell me what did he mean by doing these stares? I don't understand his actions.
