Yes, give a guy a chance to see what he's about, yet there ARE times that you just have a very strong sense of awareness that you're just not each others type. Nothing "wrong" with him, but don't want to be "polite" and accept then later ending something that should never have started to begin with.
Rather be honest than use tactics or replies like..."Maybe. I'll let you know". Fake numbers. Leading on with false hope. etc.
What is best way to handle this when a man is indicating clear interest and/or asks you out and the woman has no interest in him like that? Friendship and/or sharing a chat...yes. But no more than that.
Personal experience with this? Phrases that's suggested to use and others to stay away from?

Does age matter in this? I'm in early 50's and posting this question because this is something that myself and many women have experienced and at times. It's awkward knowing what to say when approached by dear man, yet have strong sense of no compatibility.
