Why does it seem that lesbians, more so then gay men, have relationships where one of the partners is more 'masculine' and the other more 'feminine'? I live in an area with a large queer community and I have noticed that I will see butch/femme relationships way more often than i see bear/twink relationships. (basing relationship status on things like PDAs, like hand holding, cuddling, etc.)
I'm asking as academic curiosity, and even though i'm a straight man, I'm glad my state was the first to legalize gay marriage.
