High speed internet and VOIP services?

Are there any good companies out there who provide high speed internet and VOIP service? I just spoke with Vonage and they provide VOIP, but only on an existing internet service. Any good recommendations? I'm trying to save money over my Verizon service as it is.

If you're lucky, you have the option of using cable or DSL in your area for a high-speed internet connection. In my area that's Time-Warner Cable and AT&T for DSL. Check with them to see if they provide service to your location.

As for VOIP, check into Skype as well as Vonage. With Skype, you can get free VOIP calls to anyone else with Skype. The calls to landline or cell phones are charged to your account, just like with Vonage.Just be aware that Skype is blocked in some countries.
