Has anyone been on a bike tour of these areas? I will be visiting China in May and from what I have read these are two of the most scenic parts of China. Just curious to read opinions/tips of hiking/biking tours of these areas. Thanks for any input!
What do you mean for a biking tour or hiking tour? Is it a short biking tour or a whole biking tour along the cities? Indeed there are some groups do the whole biking tour along Guilin city in Guangxi. They do the cycling sightseeing from Guilin to Longsheng County where is 100 km far from the city and a mountain area with washboard road. And then back to Guilin. biking from Guilin city to Mao’er Mountain which is 122km far away the other day. The third part of their tour is bike from Guilin city to Yangshuo County which is about 68 km far away and then cycling along the rural area of Yangshuo area. It is a tough trip but worthwhile. What you need is a good guide or good company to arrange some necessary like food service, first aid service, etc.
