Okay, so Im a new fan of hockey and I absolutely LOVE it. Hands down best sport in the world. I really want to learn more about the nhl and the players but everyone i ask is incredibly biased... I was just wondering if there are any sites out there that kind of teach about the players and teams without all the biased... ness. I know I can learn alot from just watching it but I dont have nhl network or anything and its the off season you silly gooses. haha.

Thanks!! :D

Go to NHL.com, search the players name and watch their highlights from this year and past years.

Beyond that, Youtube always has fantastic videos of players (but I'm sure you already tried this).

I would look into getting the NHL network, there are always game replays and highlights on the show as well.

Also, Hulu.com has some hockey games that you can watch and see for yourself

I am going to come out and tell you that the two best players in the league are Crosby and Ovechkin, due to the fact you said please I won't say which one I believe is better.

Go to nhl.com and look up stats and highlights. This may sound a little weird but if you can somehow play nhl 10 or nhl 2k10 that would help you understand which players are good and which aren't. If you do that though remember that it isn't always accurate as to how god or bad the players actually are. I would try to look up stats on nhl.com first though.

Wikipedia, yeah it can be unreliable sometimes but it's the place I usually go to when I want to learn about hockey history.

You could also go to Hockey's Greatest, it has some great bios about players, past, and present.
