I have a Philips HDTV (older one) that only has an SPDIF digital audio out and a hdmi in but my home theater has optical and then regular audio in inputs but i don't see a place to put spdif. and what is a spdif cable? do i need to buy one? i just want this to work, i don't need fancy expensive high quality stuff. Also connected is a comcast dvr box. i've tried the optical thing between the dvr box and the home theater but the optical cable falls out every time. so that's not an option. I got the hts to work with just the 2 speakers with the red and white regular audio cables but i want all of the speakers to work when i'm watching tv. I can't figure this out. There are so many cables and I have no idea which ones I need. I have an hdmi cable i'm not even using. where does everything go? please help, I'm behind the times I guess.
